Our Story

Built on a Foundation of Integrity

Established in 1987 in Thunder Bay, Ontario and incorporated in British Columbia in 2001, Tikal Construction Ltd. has grown into a trusted name across Western Canada — delivering institutional, commercial, and industrial projects for municipalities, health authorities, school districts, national chains, and private clients.

Our company name comes from the jungles of northern Guatemala where the Mayan temples of Tikal were constructed a thousand years ago. Today, those temples still stand — the same lasting quality we build into every project. We are committed to a value added, efficient, cooperative way of building lasting value for the communities of tomorrow.

Safety First

Every site, every project, zero compromise on safety.

Western Canada Operations

Active across Western Canada with national emergency response capability.

Sustainable Building

Constructing green for communities and future generations.

Community Impact

Tikal Construction Ltd. is dedicated to the improvement of the community. We are proud to support the Mission Environmental Stewardship Society's Adopt-a-Block program in our office's neighbourhood.

By committing time and resources to regularly clean neighbourhood streets and public spaces, our team helps reduce litter and protect the natural beauty that makes Mission such a special place to live and work.

At Tikal, we believe that building great structures also means building a great community — one block at a time.

Tikal also supports the Mission Youth House (MY House) — a safe drop-in centre providing meals, support, and care for vulnerable youth in Mission — and the work of Youth Unlimited across Metro Vancouver.

Expanding Our Reach — International Projects Tikal Construction is working with CFHI — Canadian Food for the Hungry International on a new project in Kibwezi West, Makueni County, Kenya. We are proud to bring our construction expertise to communities far beyond Western Canada.
